I just acquired a Jonsered 70E it's in great shape for it's age but I can't get it running unless I pour the fuel directly into the carb. If anyone has any advice I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks

Sounds like you should start with checking the fuel filter and fuel line - or just as well just change them.

Could well be, or other carb issues (like dirt or improper assembly) - I just meant to suggest it is best to start with the simplest to fix possibilities first.
