I ran out of anchorseal today. Poor planning on my part.
I've used latex paint in the past, but I only have an old can of acrylic latex enamel.
Has anyone used this mix with success?
Or should I just wait til I get some more anchorseal since it's cold and humid out anyway.
Thanks
Rusty

Anchorseal works best in my opinion next best is oil based paint. latex is better than nothing at all

But not much  :).  I have found paint to be a marginal end sealer.  I won't use it.

With this kind of weather in the Great Lakes, freezing at night and low 40's in the day, does
that change your decision on end sealer?

Anchor seal is great stuff.  I have personally never used it.  I use the latex paint and is serves well.  Best part, in my opinion is,  you can get it cheap at the Home Depot , Menards, ACE Hardware consistently for as little as $2.00 a gallon.

Some species and thicknesses have only a slight Rick of end checks, so paint (acrylic latex) can work ok.others like oak shrink more so a good end sealer is needed.  End checks are very expensive so the cost is not an issue for effective end coating.

A delay in application can make the coating ineffective.

Anchorseal has antifreeze for your location..  the ends need to be freshly cut, as nothing sticks to ice.
