Our 2019 class schedule is set.  First up is a 2 day sawhorse class in February 2019.
$350, includes materials for two sawhorses.  3 Student Limit.  PM if you need additional information.

If you want to learn, but don't need a sawhorse, fee is $200.

Learn basic framing; build a timber framed sawhorse.  The class focuses on getting acquainted with timber framing tools, practices, and techniques.   The course is a great starting point for a student interested in learning to timber frame.  We employ square rule methodology and build a sawhorse using traditional tools.  We also use a few power tools to speed the process along.

No experience needed. We supply the tooling, instruction, and material.  You bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and basic safety equipment.
We limit this class to 3 students. This allows for personal instruction and provides some flexibility in the Agenda based on student interest.
Tools will be provided.  However, if you have your own tooling, please bring them to class.

In the class we will cut and assemble one sawhorse, which students take home.  Students that work a little faster may get a start on a second sawhorse.   Materials for s second saw horse are available for any student that wishes to bring the materials home and further refine their timber framing skills.

During the class we will layout timbers using the Square Rule method, cut mortises and tenons.  We will assemble and test fit the sawhorse and use the draw-boring technique to pull things together. In this class you will become familiar with following topics:

On Saturday night, if the weather is good we might burn a little wood and have a little pot-luck BBQ, beer, and brats.

Just a little too far for a winter drive for me.
Well, your profile slogan does say "Where there is a will, there is a way"!     :)

Ice fisihin' can indeed be included.  I will chop a hole in the ice, you bring a 5 gallon bucket to sit on.  You haven't really fished till you find yourself sitting alone out on the lake when it  is -5 degrees and the wind is howling;  thinking "I clearly did not bring an adequate supply of Jack Daniels for this Crazey Business!"
