Looks a lot like what we have here!

The "cling-ice" is really starting to build in the rapids!

  No, only when it gets real cold . It does get a few feet thick with continuous cold. It was a few feet thick 3 weeks ago then we had a thaw.

The ice that starts forming around the rocks on the bottom is referred to as "cling ice", the surface of the water is the last to freeze!
