Riding my bicycle on an abandoned rail right of way, converted to a multiuser trail today. The bike tires were picking up these seeds and throwing them at me. I was getting covered with these sticky seeds, or seed hulls. I mean quite sticky like it had a resin on it. It did this for maybe a 1/2 mile at a time. I had one on my shirt yet when I got home. Here it is sticking to the end of my finger. I wondered if it had anything to do with cottonwood trees since there are so many along the trail?

I wonder if it's rosinweed ? Can't tell from the picture of the seed , but they have "sticky seeds".

Funny what you get on Google images when you input weed seeds. Pages and pages of marijuana pictures! LOL

Cottonwood trees drop them things all over campers and vehicles around here. They are really sticky and a mess to try and clean off your camper. They will easily pickup on your shoes and track inside too.
