I'm thinking of getting an infrared gas grill sometime between now and summer, but want to get a few opinions of them, vs a regular gas grill!

How do they hold up, over time?

Is cooking time about the same?

Are they hotter/cooler than the gas grill?

And, any other comments please!

Will the whole grill be infrared or just a section?
I've found infared to be nice for searing with high heat.

still love it. But we are on the second one. They hold up about the same as any outdoor sheet metal grill.

I have a charbroil brand one and love it. About three years old.  Even heat anywhere on the grill so everything is done evenly at the same time.  You get a lot more smoke since everything burns off instead of dripping down through.
