Must have been a temp job to see if it would work and ended staying that way, done that before.

Thats how the wiring on my truck looked the other night.  I spent the afternoon doing a full alignment on the mill getting prepared for a job up north.  

Got the truck loaded and wouldnt you know it, the minute I connect the wiring to the trailer, everything worked but the tail lights.

I spen the next hour in 20 degree temps making a jumper right off of the tail lights.  Must have a bad connection in the harness somewhere.  Oh, well, it works now 8)

You don't need a good electrician your better off with what you did cause it works.

 A few years ago I asked my brother-in-law electrician to give me a hand pulling wire for a new ceiling fan.  All he did was hang up about 20' of my 30' fish-tape inside an 8' wall. >:(

Next time I need help pulling wire I'll give you a call.

its WAY easier to rewire a nest like that that works than one that dosent. ;D
i rewired a silo unloader room that looked kinda like your old nest, cept had many more cobwebs. they ran like it like that for twenty some yrs. that place looked FLAMMABLE!

That wiring job is superb ;D

I hooked up a 20KW PTO generator to a neighbors power pole fuse panel. It involved shoving large gauge wire into a socket on the generator and clamping the wires to the fuse box with vice grips.

He had to milk his cows after a storm knocked out power. I told him to lock his kids in the house to prevent them from turning into grease spots on the lawn incase they would touch the vice grips. :-/
