wondering if anyone has used the amw/ woodmizer moulders and if so what kind of production and quality they are capable of ?  i intend to make t&g flooring, and paneling primarily.

I have the 18" woodmaster but have not used the moulder that much. The only thing
i have moulded was a set up to make stickers for our wood stacks. It did a good job
and we ran about 200 sticks threw it in about one hour. but it took most of the day
to plane and rip all the lumber to size befor we did the moulding run. The change over
from planer to moulder took about 45 mins. just be sure to have a good dust collection
system as it will make lots of chips.

I have the 18" woodmizer too. I make custom moulding for a few contractors. They take alot of setup time but work well. If your looking for production though I would look for something bigger. I'm going to go 3 phase with a used moulder. The only issue for me is having to buy a 3 pahes converter too.

I like Weinig from IRSauctions.com.
Just saw a U17 (which is one of the best for what you want to do) go for $3500.
