I've been trying to keep up with the Katrina disaster on the internet.  I keep coming across the term 'BLOG'.  What the heck does that mean?

Tom

It's kinda like a columnist who has created his own newpaper and writes editorials in it every day.  They may follow a Diary format, but, many are like reading newspaper articles.

Are you guys sure?

I didn't want my wife to know that I don't know everything,  so I thought I'd use that word 'blog' in conversation with her and maybe I'd find out,  but she just sent me to my room without any supper :-\

If you were to type: "define:blog" into google, or any word for that matter, it will give you several definitions.
Works good for words you won't find in your Funk & Wagnal. ;)

Thanks furby! I did not know that you could do that.  my momma always said that you should learn one new thing every day,I'm done for today now. :)
Together we got this !

Tom

nah, Furby!!   Webster's is used by young fellows with great big horn rimmed glasses with tape on the nose pieces.

Funk and Wagnells are used in a party room by good looking young chicks in hot pants, short skirts and bikini's, painted with flowers and cartoon characters and dancing on a dance floor while folks throw water at them.  ;D

Furby

Sounds good to me!
I'll buy that........in fact I'm thinking about buying two now! ;) ;D

Bro. Noble

I better not get one of them,  Tom.  My wife would really 'sock it to me' :D :D

Are any of you old enough to remember who it was that started that saying of "Look that up in your Funk & Wagnals?"

A blog is synonymous with the word bog.

They are both filled with a lot of interesting things.  Some of the stuff in a bog will get you all hung up in it's depths and it is the home of a bunch of different creatures.

The word blog has an 'L' in it because or it's literary content.

Now there you have it.

Here's a blog of a summer student writing about the drudgery of working for a thinning contractor who is also trying to make enough money to attend school in the fall.

Typical of most thinners I've met. They bounce around from one contractor to the next and complain about them all. ;D :D
