Greenhorn Sawyer

Hello everyone,

I've been reading threads here for a while, and they have been incredibly helpful, so I decided to join. I just bought a mill last October, a Hudson HFE-36 Homesteader, which I bought for personal use, and to make a little money on the side. I have a hard time explaining to most people that I just really enjoy cutting logs into lumber, I just wish I'd "discovered" this many years ago.

At any rate, I'm learning something every time I cut a log, and I just sold my first order Friday. So, yes, I'm totally new, and won't have much to contribute for a while, but I look forward to meeting some great folks here.

A couple people asked for pics, so this is a test to see if I can figure out how to post them. This is the white pine I started on Friday, 32" dia. at the big end, 17 feet long, which I think is about the most my saw can handle.
