Looking at your profile, you should be real close to a BIG pond that at least used to be some good fishing.

we are stuck in the middle of a couple of biggies, 15 minutes to one, and an hour to the other

I never did a lot of fishing in Livingston, but did a lot in the trinity and lake limestone when it was a new lake.
