Our log lot is mostly grassed over and sawdust pile is composting. I fired up the mill earlier this week to see if there was any usable spalted wood in what was a standing dead hard maple. It's the first time we've used it since last fall.
Mary has been too busy with her new Gehl skidsteer.

Well, of course you do! ;) Only one? :D
Really cool machine but I'm wondering why he didn't preserve the metal - paint or wax it?
My unit came with a filer.

Heya Bibbster!! Long time!!! ;D ;D
That is a nice looking Gehl skidsteer she has. I could use that on my claiming back the Old Pasture project.

Ooooo! Now that is cool. Who makes that? Would you want to sell it? Thank you.
I just watched that video on YT last night and wondered if anyone still used one. I watched another one of him rebuilding a handsaw tooth setter. Amazing stuff, I love the complicated mechanisms on these old machines.
I hope you'll post more often, I miss your wit and wisdom.
