Recently I was pushing my snowbanks back to make room for plowing the next no storm. As I was pushing I heard a thwack! And the steering wheel spun in my hands. The output shaft on the steering box had snapped!
My tractor is an 80's jd 750. Even if they still sold parts at the dealer for it I doubt I could afford it due to my health-related forced retirement. Anyway I was hoping someone would know of a source for used tractor parts.
Thanks in advance for your consideration

I've had good luck with worthington ag parts, I've got a 3020 that needs parts from time to time. They have a decent website and they're more reasonable on price than the companies that specialize in restoration parts.
Not sure which came first, but I have chickens and eggs.

Worthington would be my first place to try, followed by Abiliene Machine.

Jack S I  dont have the part number but the large output shaft broke right at the steering box so i figured i would probably need the whole steering box. I dont think i have the tools to switch out the output shaft itself. Thanks for all the help

I did see complete steering boxes also on EB but vvery high$. Ive done ford tractor boxes and really not that difficult to do

I have the JD 950 and just checked my manual. Its an easy one  on the right side 4 cap screw and the shaft will pull right out as the left side is already broke off. You can  buy I&T shop repair manuals like at TSC stores for most tractors. Its really not that hard of a job.  Good luck with it. They are a good little tractor   Jack

Those 50 series tractors are Yanmars painted green  , so you might be able to get parts that way also .  Providing you know the yanmar numbers.
