I would likt to have a barrel or cask made out of apple wood to age apple brandy in.  I have a lot of apple wood and I'll have lots of apple brandy in the fall, but I wouldn't have a clue how to make a barrel nor do I have the time.
Always try it twice, the first time could've been a fluke.

Is your apple already sawn?

I think you need quartersawn lumber to make a good barrel

Also, will the apple hold water?

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.
