Hi,
I have a Husqvarna 540T.
It has about 5 tanks of gas through it.
It runs well once it is warmed up, but it seems to cool off pretty quick.

When I removed the air filter cover, I noticed gas has been collecting in the air filter and running down towards the spark plug.

Should I be concerned?

Normally this could indicate a clogged spark arrester, but it is new! I am confused!!

The cooling off quick seems to be a issue with a lot of the new design strato motors.

I have noticed top handles leaking fuel like that when I am climbing conifers limbing on the way up. Seems like the saws drop some fuel when the bar tip is pointed straight up.

Also looking at the IPL it looks like the tank vent may be routed into the carb/filter housing. Not just to the open. Which if that the case makes me wonder if the tank vent is leaking.

Hope fully someone is along to tell you if their 540T does it or not.
