just wondering if any one on here puts wood out that way.i remember it being done years ago.you would pile up half cord piles or so .and wrap a cable around and go.. 8)

I heard of a guy doing this. I forgot why they was doing it this way. Maybe not to scar any trees,I forgot why.Sounds like alot of work and time to me. This was done on a wood lot,not planted pine in rows.

Years ago when i first started working in the woods this is how we did it .IT wasnt much fun then and somehow i doubt it would be now lol

I did this with a CAT 518. I had a heap of limbs to get out (for Firewood) and it was too wet to get the truck into it. Slow-yes, but it did it.
