Sprung a leak on our 230 timber jack this evening at the rear main seal. Just wondering if it is wise to run it and add oil as needed. We got one more day in the woods and was curious if anyone else ran into a problem like this?
I know I was born and I know I will die, the in between is mine, I am mine

well, how bad is the leak. you jeopardize getting things oily in the bell housing for sure and clutch dics's never seem to clean up once the oiled up.
In two days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.

But look on the bright side, its a 230. You can do it inframe and it really isn't a terrible task. If it was mine I would just shut down and fix it. Wait to get the seal until it is apart, you may need a oversize with a sleeve. Napa was able to fix me up same day
