New Slug Gun

   I picked up a Savage 220, that's a 20 gauge bolt action with a rifled barrel and has a scope. I figured I'm now hunting in a shotgun state so need a good gun. Anyone with experience?

I'm still hunting with the Smith & Wesson 12 ga I learned on, with a smooth bore slug barrel and rifle sights, its good out to 100 yards. Now I mainly bow hunt, the seasons just so much longer. Best 100 yard group I have ever heard of was 3/4", from a remington 870 with a hastings slug barrel.
