Just got back from the AAW Turning Symposium........

Here's a few pics ;D ;D




This is Jill standing by a very large vase, The finish on this was perrrrrfect...smooth like silk ;D




This is a lathe made out of wood...Very nice.....




Lots of guys are making hats now. They are wearable too ;) ;)




This is a set of cored burl bowls by Mike Mahoney




I don't know what this was...But a lot of great turning and a lot of work went into this.




This fish bit off more than he could chew... me thinks




And here we get to the food portion ;D ;D This cake holder or whatever was very nice and very functional

Holy Cow, that's some pretty stuff! 8) 8)  It amazes me what some people can do with a simple piece of wood spinning on an axis.  I'd like to see some more turnings from our own folks.  We got some topnotch turners here.  What about it folks? ;D

That vase is AWSOME, and I see someone was buying turning tools  ;)
