Title: Husky 353 Won't Start
Post by: ppine on August 09, 2017, 12:06:01 PM
Trusty orange saw has been dependable. After new spark plug, new fuel, carb cleaner, cleaned air filter, nothing.  Not even close to starting.  Anyone have some ideas besides the ignition module?

Do you have spark? Lay the plug on the bare cylinder and pull the cord. Does compression feel normal? Did you try squirting a bit of gas, NOT starting fluid, in the carb throat?

Try taking the air filter off.  You didn't change very much else.

Check the wire on the side of the kill switch, if it got bent 90 degrees it will touch the other contact resulting in no fiah.

Bad ignition coil was the culprit.
