We took a little trip the past 4 days, one of the high lites for me was a visit to the Wisconsin, berthed in Norfolk Va. I have to say I was just in awe of the ship, it's size, where it's been, where it could still go if it had to. There were retired Navy volunteers on board that were happy to pass on info, stories, etc. If you ever have a chance, visit one of these ships, a part of history for sure!

Well, we didn't even take a camera - How sad is that?  Here's a link though http://www.nauticus.org/wisconsin.html  with loads of pics & facts about the ship.  Like the 4 1/2 acres of Teak planking on the decks, the six 110 lb. bags of powder it took to fire a 2700 lb. 16" shell, and the four propellers [212000 hp per shaft].  Just amazing!
