Moose Antler Shed

We were walking our property today with a Forester who stopped in to talk about the property behind ours.
I learned a couple things from him on our walk and then he spotted the Antlers.  It weighs about ten pounds.  We also found an old steel frame.  It was mostly covered and hard to tell what it was but apppeared to be a trailer.  What a great day in the woods.  I hope he joins us here.

We have had a dry year here in the County.  Need some more rain.  My bog areas are even walkable.

He is up there so far North that he talks funny.

The township is called Cyr Plantation.  6 miles south of Oh Canada.
Moose Country.

Being from Mapleton and having lived in Sinclair I know Cyr plantation well.  Is Daniels restaurant still there in Van Buren?

The only Restaurant there now is in a Pub called Bechard's.
Nice people who own it and good food.
That and the Tastee Food Dairy Bar, formerly known as Tastee Freeze.  
Mapleton is a beautiful community.  We ride to Sinclair by atv usually once a year for lunch.  They have some great scenery and trails.  We loop around the Lake and come back on the old railroad track bed thru Stockholm back to Van Buren trail system.  It's about a 120 mile trip . There are a couple options to get there.
