I was going to be building a 12' x 12' shed / workshop out of wood I have milled.  I am ok with finish carpentry and framing but lack knowledge in actual timber framing.  I was wonder if there were any decent books that would be benneficial for a beginner timber framer.  Or any books that show good illustrations for timber framing.  Thanks in advance for you help and input.

Do a search using the word "book" and select timber framing section only and you'll find my posted list of books I recommend to read.....

There is lots of information here you just need to find it....

The timberframers guild publishes 2 books called timberframe joinery and design vols 1 and 2.  Both are worth their weight in gold.  You can buy the set for around sixty bucks, a smokin deal given the wealth of knowledge contained within these two volumes.
