If you know where it is or how to find it,,,, could someone please direct me to the thread about those? I can't find it but remember a couple of creative ideas to make it a little easier dealing with them. I almost hate the darn things.

Thanks

I don't mind the 4 in the middle, since I can use the weight of the head to help adjust them. After I get it leveled with the center ones I have to get the ends lifted up enough to take the arch out of the frame and that's a pain. I got a quote to buy the fine adjustment jacks from woodmizer the other day. As much as I'd like to have them, I can't seem to get with the idea of pay an extra $400 to install them myself compared to ordering them on the mill from the factory.

That's probably the difference between the cost of the different outriggers.  There is no need to wind up with both the jack up and the fine adjust outriggers.  If I was ordering a new unit it would have the FAO's from the factory.

Thanks, I just ordered 6 of the 5k 15"
Lynn, had I realized the LT40 was so much heavier than the lt30 I would have ordered them, I guess just another lesson from the school of hard knocks 😉

Oh bother! I just realized that the jacks I ordered don't have the drop legs. I'm sure I'll be able to make them work, but I think I would have preferred the drop legs.

hey crossroads Mine dont have the drop leg either and they work just fine. Make sure you get the top pin hole down far enough so the top of the screw is below the log bed.

Oh good, thanks bandit! I was hoping they were going to show up today so I could at least install the back one before my job starts tomorrow, but No lucky 🍀
