Very nice! I love my edger. I'm curious though, why the slits in the saw blade, with a carbide section. What are they supposed to be cutting? The blade teeth would already have removed any material, and the slit would make it impossible to carry tension in the blade.

So I have this mental problem and it causes me to want anything other than what is popular. So I don't own or drive Peterbilts if I can help it and I've steered away from WM for more or less the same reasons. Now, all has been well but now WM has gone and built something that would fit so nice. Got a problem now.  ;D

My ED26 has the same type of carbide cutters in them. They help leave a clean edge. My edger does leave a smoother edge than an edger without the inserts.

It is 300 bucks more than the E100, but probably worth that in customer service. Then again I have no clue how timberry is after the sale, I suspect they are pretty good.
Where are these made??

starmac,

The EG100 is currently manufactured by our facility in Poland that's been making Wood-Mizer equipment for nearly 30 years alongside our facility in Indiana, USA that's been making Wood-Mizer equipment since 1982.

Here is a walk through video that shows more of what this edger can do:

Gotcha, is the E100 built at the same facility?
