353 detroit motor. The pedal barely does anything. I have to use the hand throttle. Any tips on adjusting the pedal linkage?

 lynde37avery,
Not sure if it's of any help, but on my ol' TJ330 with a 353, I had the same problem. My issue wasn't so much the linkage as it was the hinge pin at the bottom of the pedal. It was so badly worn that the pedal had free movement in every direction but one that would rev it up !! I fixed the hinge and then only had to do minor adjustments with the linkage.
Good luck !!

Is this on the franklin or the Jack. If on the jack make sure the hand throttle and the foot throttle linkage is not bound up. They are connected together near the left side of the tranny which you can see. The spring should be able to put the foot throttle back in place. There is adjustment where the foot throttle linkage goes through the firewall. Give me your address and I have an extra manual for these 200 series and I will get it to you. I would follow that linkage from the pedal.
