So my 3120 won't run, I can feed fuel into the carb and it runs. When I pull the fuel line off the carb no fuel will flow unless I open the cap on the fuel tank. Is there a vent for the fuel tank that might be clogged?

Yes. I am not sure where it is on a 3120

vent is in tank, if your holding the saw like when you were going to cut with it , vent is on right side of tank , if you undo the tank from the crankcase and pull the front part of tank so the throttle trigger end apart you will see the vent up high on the tank on right side , , first I would take fuel line off carb and pull fuel line up threw the tank for a couple inches then cut off those couple inches and see if that helps , fuel line is way to long to start with and I have seen with the fuel filter has pinched the line off cause of so much line in the tank , most times if vent is pulled  saw will run for abit before running out of fuel

Thanks, I found the vent pulled it out and it is definitely plugged.  New one is ordered.
