What about the angle of the front handlebar?
I may be wrong, but I think it runs streight across the saw on the Jred, resulting in a less than ideal grip when cutting vertically using it right handed.

You`re absoulutely right, and I consider that an ergonomic deficiency, but when I mentioned this in another thread a person offered the retort that they prefer a straight across handle.  ???

The red and black Jonnies sure are pretty![img width=400 --Photos MUST be in the Forestry Forum gallery!!!!!--.com/albums/v653/groundsforum/2159_357xp_359.jpg[/img]

They sure are!  :)

It is a great pity that they screwed up with the front handlebars.   :(

The "excuse" I have seen for that design was that it made it possible to use the handlebar as "gunning sight" when felling....... :D

If one holds the handles on the starter side of the saw one sees the benefits of "bent " handles.
