Hey ya'll,
Can anyone in WV tell about the contractor licensing requirements? What I need to know is if a person wants me to come there and work on a building, whether it be a new building or old building and they have pulled the permits and did the hoop jumping, am I required to have a license? I have checked out the licensing board page and quite frankly I think I have been struck dumb with bureaucracy.  Thanks Jayson

Jayson,
I'm not a contractor so don't hold my feet to the fire here. From what I've been told by contractor friends and what I've seen in the service provider ads, if the job is over $2500 you're required to have a license. I assume that $2500 is what your fees would be and doesn't include materials. Maybe someone can give you a better answer or confirm this info. :)
