Here is a way to cut a watermelon and remove almost all the seeds.

Tom

When we get hold of a melon down here, it wouldn't last long enough to do that to it.

When a fellow is young and has access to the field, he finds a ripe one,  pops it with his fist, reaches inside and begins to eat the heart by the handfuls.

Most melons are sliced lengthways to form boats.  Given to a youngster to eat and he will have his whole face buried in it and the ends will have juice all over his cheeks and ears.

Some well-meaning mothers slice a melon crosswise and place it on a plate.  That is one of the most frustrating ways to eat one.  The best solution is to pick it up, break it into halves and start eating.   You end up looking a lot like when you eat the boats from a lengthwise sliced melon.

Seeds?   What seeds? :D :D   Those that don't get swallowed are used in a "real time" seed spitting contest.  :D :D :D

Take all the seeds out.   >:( You've taken all the fun away.  Who can spit them the fastest, farther then anyone else, and how many can you machine gun.   8)  Also, too much trouble, just slice and go.

BTW, it is a good idea though, at least for those that can't be bothered with the seeds.
