so your chipping CTL wood onsite? if that's the case why not run a tree length operation and get the tops and limbs to chip too?

Yes we do chip onsite around here we like to leave some top and branches in the woods, makes a better looking job also better quality chips little on no skinned up trees, less debris around landing, a smaller landings, ability to sort logs. I know it doesn't sound like it would work but it does and has for a few years now.

interesting. I worked for a place would haul out some chipper wood with the CTL machines. but it was just the rough and rotten stuff. with extensive pulp markets only the dead, down, and really ugly wood made it into the biomass pile. unless there was a huge stack it was actually trucked to a concentration yard as round wood and chipped there. this was all on private ground. as I remember it didn't pay any stumpage, but the landowners appreciated the cleaner woodlot at the end.

First load I hauled out hope it hauls 20 ton.Took 5 min to offload it handles like a dream.

i was talking with a guy last week that runs a 1065 tigercat. he said 2 load to load a trailer. there next job will be 1.25 miles from yard to stump. he was hopping to turn 5 trips a day

Thanks norm I'll see what I can do, been trying to talk the wife into getting a go pro then I could make some great videos.
