Read an old post this morning that mentioned Homey.    I kind of miss the different comparisons to the "orange" mills that occassionally appeared in this forum.    I don't think it made the trip across the water, so where is it?
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]
Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught

Ed has it in Sebastian, Fl. He does an occasional saw job. I wish I did ship it down here.

I will say, It was a honor to see old "Homey" in action, not once...but twice. It was a smooth operation. The last time I saw them they were cutting some deadhead cypress. After a bit, the blade dulled, and it wasn't minutes before there was a fresh blade on and they were cutting again. Quick, fast, and percise. Not only was it a good machine but they were a great team together.

I think Ed and Harold have that natural Engineering gene that very few have. Old "Homey" was built well above and beyond that normal "home made" sterio type you may think of. It might even rival the great orange beast it was inspired from. :D :D ;D

It was a pleasure to meet them and I hope we will always be friends! :D
