Sawed a couple spruce 8x8 and shut the mill down.  blew the sawdust off and then proceeded to lube the mast rails and chains. Ran the head to the top as I brushed ATF on the lift chains. The motor to raise and lower the head wouldn't run when I tried to bring the head back down.  Lowered the head a couple inches by hand and then the motor would run slow a couple inches and then trip the circuit breaker.  The motor and wire to the speed control were warm  but not hot.  Forward and reverse motor works fine. Where to start?

It's pulling a load if the wires was warm. Either something dragging or
you got motor problems.

Thanks Kbeitz got the new motor from woodmizer and it works good now. Just not much fun working with small metal parts with bare hands at 20 degrees.
