All our wild plum thickets bloomed liked crazy this spring, didn't get a late frost for the first time in a lot of years yet most didn't put a plum on em.  Anyone know why this is, really thought it would be perfect for em, we also had a tremendous amount of rain this spring thought that should help too.

Here in Idaho we have about 8 large sized wild plum trees that are normally loaded with plums to the point that the branches get broken. This year there may be 20-30 plums at the top of 2 trees and that's it. We had a cool wet spring but no late frost either. Maybe those trees are just taking a rest this year.

Some of the wild plums around the househad a real god crop while others made nothing. ipicked enough to make about a gsallon of juice. It should make a tasty wine.
