Yesterday was clean up day around here, I wound up with 3300 lbs. of scrap steel on my F350.  At  5 cents/lb., I came home with 165.00, and now have some room for some new "stuff"   8)

Last summer that would have been at least twice that, perhaps 3x depending on your relationship w/ the yard. After the plunge in prices in the spring , things have definitely iimproved, about 4 months ago they were only paying 2-3 cent locally for scrap. I too have cleaned up in the last year, starting w/ scrap last summer, then onto my "someday project pile" which included a number of nice ideas, but realistically many would have just lanquished for years so I have sold off a number of those (not scrap mind you). Mostly things like trailers, cranes and all sorts of cool interesting things. Just had to get realistic.

Enjoy your new space. Ironwood
