RE:  JESS BIRTCHER SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH THE MAT

The Michigan Association of Timbermen is proud to announce that they are accepting applications for the Jess Birtcher Scholarship to be awarded in April 2015.  The $1,000 yearly scholarship originated with Timbermen founding board member Jess Birtcher's family to honor his legacy and mission for the association that supports the small family owned forest industry businesses in Michigan.

Interested applicants should be those who have chosen a natural resources field of study beyond high school but applications are also accepted for fields or courses such as lumber grading, timber harvesting certificates, and other fields that directly impact the forest products industry.
