I am looking for a simple 12'x14' or 12'x16' TF cabin plan using pine tree as I am here in the south (NC) and we use mostly pine trees but would be open to cypress (flooring) and so..

If you have a good simple plan I can use for free or for reasonable fee then I would love it!  This would be my first project so starter project would be great!

I have considered garden plan from Timber Frame Construction book being sold at TF Guild website but wasn't sure if it would be any good unless it comes highly recommended from you guys??

Many thanks!

WK,

Although this reply is not exactly what you were asking; You might try calling Peter Haney at 970-482-1366 re a frame.

He has built and test fit a frame that's appx' 12X16 and it's for sale at a VERY good price. He sponsors TF classes out in Colorado and this was built during his last class.

Also, he's a pretty nice fellow and may have a source for drawings as well.

I have some plans already done for a 12'x16' structure that could be used as a cabin, as well as a 14' x 16'.
Email me directly and we can discuss it.

Buy the Jack Sobon book on building a shed. It is 12x16 and is an awesome starter frame!
