Hi, I just started a new forced hot air wood furnance today and it's supposed to heat the stack temp up to 800 degrees, I can only get the stack to 250 degrees. If I open the door I can get the temp up to 300-400-degrees.Every thing it wired right. Any help would be great.

Hello Len

I am not a expert but that seams to be very high temp,
lots of heat going out the stack. I would check with manufacturer.

Welcome to the Forum to both allagash and al!

I think Al is correct.  The EPA uses stack temperature as one of many measurements of stove efficiency.   Having that much heat leaving the stack sounds high to me.  I would talk to the manufacturer.
My father once said, "This is my son who wanted to grow up and become a doctor.  So far, he's only become a doctor."
