I can really get into babysittin' the pig.  I like the visitin as long as my eyes stay open. :D

The last time I made any honest to goodness plans, they didn't work out.  Now I just kinda float through life and touch down every now and again. :D :D

Jeff

Anyone coming that have not finalized plans on where you are staying, let us know so we can help find you something.

Also, those that can, throw in your lawn chairs. We have about 30 of those resin chairs, and some other odds and end seating, plus we are trying to round up more tables, but seating and tables still could end up being a little shy. We got lots of grass though. :)

Jeff,

Since I'll be sleeping in my van, are there any truckstops where I can buy a shower and go pottie--like maybe in Clare.

Coming from Chicago would you recommend going through Grand Rapids or Lansing, or is it sixes?

There is no need to say 'unleaded regular gas'. It's all unleaded. Just say 'regular gas'. It's not the 70s anymore. (At least that's what my wife tells me.)

Doug,
I am coming alone and have a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Clare.  Your welcome to shower and clean up there. I am getting up early on the 7th and driving over and will stay the night of the 7th and return the next morning.

Are you coming alone?  If so, I have an extra bed, provided you dont cut logs at night with a big Husky Saw ;D

Kevin_H.

hey Doug,

We will have a motorhome at jeffs on the 7th, you are more than welcome to use it to freshen up.
Got my WM lt40g24, Setworks and debarker in oct. '97, been sawing part time ever since, Moving logs with a bobcat.

Hey Doug, just my 2 cents, but if you are coming from Chicago go through G.R. and pick up US 131. I'd cut across on 10, although I don't know about construction on 10.
Hey Jeff, how bad is the construction on 10 ?

Jeff

THere is some construction on the last leg of 10 between Farwell and U.S. 127 it lasts about 5 miles. Probably minor compared to what might be found before that. Once you get that far, yer almost shouting distance.

Being dat close to da fair could mean trouble.  :-/   If da smell of da roastin' piggy happens to drift dat far,  we may end up with too many more folks to feed.

You will go real close to Cedar Point on the way to Jeff's, it is a few miles off of I-80 & 90.  I am pretty sure the exit is marked or the map will show it.  It would be about 5 or 6 hours before you get to Jeff's.
Selling hardwood lumber, doing some sawing and drying, growing the next generation of trees and enjoying the kids and grandkids.

The exit at 80 and 250 has plenty of hotels.  Cedar Point is just across town.

Last time was 3 years ago.  We usually try to go every other year.  We stay at the park campground.  The campground entrance is by the Magnum, it's a pretty short walk back to camp.  Can't beat it for coasters.  I like to go in June, the lines are shorter and you can ride till you drop.
