i saw a couple of the beliot harvesters. the tracked machine that limbed the tree standing then cut it with a shear. it was in the late 70's on scott paper land around jackman. we were snowmobiling and it being a weekend i didnt get to see them working. they were cutting big sp fir. the hand crews were cutting the small wood

That video looks to be a great review of the changes made in harvesting and investment of money.
Should give some of the firewood processors some possible ideas as well.

A small reminder of the farm tractor extraction where one or two jumping on the hood for extra weight was needed to get up a short rise. :)
