I am making a box-joint silverware tray that is 10 x 16 inches and the sides are 3 inch high and slope @ 20 degrees.

I need to come up with a method for clamping the box joints  corners that will hold them tight and square while the glue dries.

Any ideas would be appreciated, something simple since I am only making one.

Hot glueing wedges near the box joints will "square up" the box sides for your clamps to to apply even pressure.  Double stick tape will work, too. :)
I do what the little voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

I would use a picture frame jig. Made mine, and a one time clamp would be quick and easy. Would need to fashion corner blocks (as metalspinner suggests) that take out the slope of your box.

Looking for a pic.
Here is a YouTube of one on the order I made. Simpler variations are possible. I use either a pipe clamp or similar to pull the center tight.

And another approach, for holding corners together.

These blocks might be simpler to make for your box.

I hot glued a small block on either side of the box joint and used a spring clamp to pull the joint tight, worked guite well. Thanks for the suggestion.

If I was making picture frames, I would get the clamp that is the shape of a "C" and has sharp points. They also would do a good job on box joints.
