  Mike, I'm so sorry for your loss. It was my pleasure to be able to help you and your Dad out. I regret that I didn't get to meet your Dad, but my guys really liked him. Danny said, "that's a Big man, but he was really nice."  My Dad is 82. I dread the day.

When it rains,.......

Dad had a companion that he had met 18 months ago. Laura helped him non-stop through all of the treatments and trips to Dr.s offices, kept him fed and kept him happy. She came to NY with him instead of going home to Mass. to be with her family.
Her daughter drove here Tuesday to be with her mom during the service and then drive her home. My wife met with the daughter to show her how to get to Dad's place. My wife and Laura's daughter found her dead on the floor. She must of had a stroke, aneurism or major heart attack because she made no attempt to break her fall or move after her fall. She did not suffer.
She was a very special lady. :'( :'(

My father once said, "This is my son who wanted to grow up and become a doctor.  So far, he's only become a doctor."

Almost sounds like Laura was a special Angel sent to help him and was no longer needed.  :(

I am so sorry Mike.  Laura Finlay must have been a very special lady and surely she and your Dad gained strength from each other.  Sometimes things happen that we do not understand, but then when we really pause and think about it, the answer is very clear. 

I offer my sincerest Condolences to these two families that were joined by those two special people.

Very sorry for your loss, I know how you feel, I lost my father about 7 years ago, I think about him everyday.
