I have a project started and have been searching for Plastic ??? insert Pillow Block bearings. May not BE plastic, but, I do not want ball or roller bearings.

Searches turn up NOTHING, but, I DO know they exist.  ??? ??? ???

Anyone know what they might be called ???

Is it a shape you could machine yourself? I use a plastic on my jigs that is incredible. Normally this stuff is used as the slides in boom trucks. The stuff I buy is called nylotron it is grey and is easy to cut and machine.

Thanks Bunny.
Looked around in there, and only saw the inserts. Gotta go back and look again.  ::)

There are other suppliers, too.
That just happened to be the first one that came up with that search.

FDH I have several old worn tailshaft UHMW plastic bearings.  They are really just a solid block.  They could be used if you went to a larger OD shaft.

They are from an aerator like this.

Let me know if you think you could use them.
