Title: TJ 230 pinion nut removal

Any secret to removing the pinion nut on this thing. My buddy is trying to change the seal on his rear diff and says the nut won't budge. He did remove the cotter pin.

Nope no secret procedure there. A long bar will help and you may have to hold the yoke with a big pipe wrench.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't think there was. He's just a little fella, probably needs a bigger bar.

May have used loc tite  a little heat will fix that 300 degrees .

Long bar. Make sure blade is down so machine doesn't move. Helps if the drive and socket are able to fit out towards the tire.
