Our Sunrise Service is at 7:00 tomorrow AM, then our regular services begin at 9:30.

Most of the family will be here for our noon meal together, but there will be no 4 leaf clovers this year.  Easter is too early and the clover has not popped up yet.  I'll pass out $5 bills to the clover hunters anyway.

MagicMan,

From the looks of some of your photos I thought you were well ahead of us, my clover is probably 6" tall right now with giant leaves, was just out this evening walking some of the fields to see how they were coming along.  The alfalfa is even taller.

I gave the entire yard a good look over yesterday.  No clover yet, but the grass had to be mowed.   :-\

Ok, the clover one is a new one on me.  I also had my first king cake this year so I guess it's my year to learn about easteresque traditions.

No sunrise service for us.  Just the regular.

Going to be cool at our Sunrise Service,we have a community service at a small lake here. I do thank God for that empty tomb. He is risen and alive today and forever.

After our Grandchildren got too old to hunt eggs on Easter afternoon, I started having a 4 leaf clover hunt.  Each clover netted the finder a crisp $5.  LINK  Notice that Easter was on the 24th in 2011.  It's no wonder that I had clover almost three weeks later.

That'll be another story about all the fun we used to have at grand dads for those kids to tell their children.

Happy Happy Happy!

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.  So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.  Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus' head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.  (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)  Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb  and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.  They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?" "They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.  He asked her, "Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means "Teacher").  Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"  Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

azmtnman, welcome to the forum. I see you have a NAA too. I have the same year as yours. I grew up with it. My Father had a '52 than the NAA came out and it was a little bit bigger tractor, better geared, and he traded the '52 in for the '54. I still have it,under cover, but have not started it for 10 years.

Mine is a family heirloom also. My grandpa bought it used, my dad got it from him and I inherited it from him. It's all original with only 3500 hours on it.
