I have a 25 HP 3 phase Timberharvester mill with about 50 hours on it. I have been having a problem with the blade starting in the log then going up and back down then sawing the log streight. It leaves a hump in the start of each log. I have re leveled the mill and leveled the blade both ways. I am sawing oak. Can this be caused by frozen wood or am I missing something else?

Entry speed and belt tension would be the first place I would look. If the log is half frozen the blade will do crazy things. All the way frozen is not too bad.

It could be frozen wood, I've had the same thing happen to me. Half frozen is even worse.
