Recently replaced crankshaft seals on stihl 031 av and I missed Installing thrust washer behind oiler spur gear. The friction melted seal to spur gear and when I opened It up seal was stuck to spur gear and pulled right out of case. I had noticed thrust washer on floor but I thought It was part of a broken two piece stihl gas cap for blower that I was throwing away. Has anyone had any issues when Installing new seals? Not In far enough? Rolling seal etc? I did use coke can trick but I think It could have been In a little deeper.
