Way back in there, by the box of old chains and carburetors I could see some orange :o
There it was my old Husky 50, that my X bought me way back in around 1987 (I think)
Anyway its in the shop with me now.
It hasn't run for years, so I better look at the fuel tank and the carb before giving it a start up. ;D
There's not too many miles on it.
Is it a keeper or what 8)

The X is still alive and doing well.
I better not park this little saw near the 880 tonight
I could wake up and find err gone.
I think this saw is more of a collectors item now

Jack of all trades.

Looks like a user in my books! I have a 51 that looks similar, I find it a really nice saw to use. I don't know how the 50 and the 51 compare though.

Self defense weapon since hand guns are illegal in Canada.

Hands guns are legal to own here, just we can't carry them around.

We don't have to worry about a 3 year old pulling one out of their mothers purse and shooting someone in Walmart :D :)

Uh, this discussion could go south in a hurry. Can we stay with the original topic?

I think this saw may have some value.
If i can remember correctly , there were only so many of this grey top model made.
Anyone have any information on this?

Tree Dan, from my information the Husqvarna 50 Rancher was first introduced in 1982 as a white top cover saw.
Yours is the 1989 Husqvarna 50 "Special" which celebrated Husqvarna's 300th year. I'm missing half of my 1989 library information so I don't have the Husqvarna Anniversary issue. I have no idea the value of your saw or if it's a highly sought collector item.
Here's your saws' decal from a Dec. 1989 3120XP advertisement.

Give me a new saw chain and I can find you a rock in a heartbeat.

Thanks for that info.  Im not about to sell it, just wondering if indeed it is a collector item. It will be nice to get it going again.

Are all the grey-top Husky's rare or sought after? Or just this one?
