You guy's have it made!
The last log length firewood I sold brought $45 a cord, delivered 1 hour drive away, down 16 miles of 6% grade. Cut and split it brings about $120 a cord delivered. It's all Pine, and Fir, but about the same work and fuel.
Oh, and no "face cords" here. I have seen it sold by the pickup load, but that's usually just entertainment. See how much that guy can get in a short bed pickup. I've seen some creative stacking go a foot over the top of the cab.  :D
1996 Timber King B-20 with 14' extension, Morgan Mini Scragg Mill, Fastline Band Scragg Mill (project), 1973 JD 440-b skidder, 2008 Bobcat T-320 with buckets, grapple, auger, Tushogg mulching head, etc., 2006 Fecon FTX-90L with Bull Hog 74SS head, 1994 Vermeer 1250 BC Chipper. Problem is its half the btus per cord vs hardwood!
