I need to upgrade my saws, mostly used for firewood at this point. I currently have a Jred 2171, it's been a good saw. Prior to that I had a Jred 2165, I actually preffered the smooth power delivery of that saw. I ran a buddie's (woods ported I was told) Husky 385 for a while, I liked that saw a lot. He wouldn't sell it to me😊 Anyways, I have been considering a 390 because my local dealer said they can't get the 385 anymore, or the 376. I know a 390 is more than I need (but it would be nice for bucking big oak firewood, and splitting big logs for my mill), I've heard both good and bad about the 376. Opinions?

I have a 390 as my big saw and a 576 as my use all the time saw.
They are pretty close in size.
The 390 has that little extra that I like when cutting.
I run a 24 & 20 on the 576 and a 28 on the 390.
Both great saws.
Don't think you can go wrong with the 390
It also came with a 4 year warranty if you buy a few cans of their premix fuel.

Thanks Stoney, that's just the comparison I wanted to hear!

Barbender,
Just another note.
The 576 is a high revving saw that when sharp rips like crazy through wood.
The 390 has tons of torque for those times when you need it.
I use them both for felling and bucking and like them both.
If I've got bigger diameter hardwood to cut I'll grab the 390 and rip with it.
Good luck.
Let me know which one you choose.
